I fell in love with the piano at a very early age and began playing on my own, imitating my big sisters. I started lessons at the age of 7, and the next year my parents bought me the lovely baby grand I still play today. I studied piano and accompaniment with Carlo Bussotti at San Francisco State University where I obtained my BA and MA in music. Throughout my career as a public school teacher, I also performed professionally with Bernard and his chamber music ensembles. Recently, I have added cello and violin to my musical life. Now that I have retired from public school teaching, I am excited about putting my heart and soul into sharing the gift of music with learners of all ages.

For me, learning music is a gift that lasts a lifetime. Music is a way to get grounded and to let one's imagination soar. Above all, learning, teaching, and playing music is fun!
